Join this unique group of talented musicians for some jam sessions in the barn! Twice each month the Hallockville Old Time Jam Band meets at the Naugles Barn to get together and play old airs and tunes such as John Brown's Dream, Shove that Pigsfoot, and Cluck Old Hen (just to name a few!). In years gone by, the running stitch was used to piece together everything from clothing to quilts. There is very little documentation from the past about how to achieve this stitch because "everyone knew how to do it." The hand sewn running stitch was a skill passed down from mother to daughter and can be very portable, relaxing, and sometimes more accurate for more intricate blocks.
